Students applying for loans at Diploma level and the general public are informed that the online window for receiving applications will be open until Sunday, October 29th, 2023.
Initially, the window was opened on Saturday, October 7th, 2023 and was scheduled to be closed on Sunday, October 22nd, 2023.
The decision to extend for seven (07) days aims at providing an opportunity for qualified applicants who have not applied or are yet to complete their applications to utilise the extended period to finalise and submit their applications online.
Following the extension of seven (07) days to receive loan applications, applicants are strongly advised to read carefully ‘Loan Application Guideline for Diploma Students for 2023-2024 Academic Year’, which is available on the following websites: HESLB (www.heslb.go.tz), NACTVET (www.nactvet.go.tz) and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (www.moe.go.tz).
Among other things, page five (05) of the Guideline, mentions specific courses at the diploma level whose students got admission to will be issued loans.
It will be recalled that in the academic year 2023-2024, the Government has budgeted TZS 48 billion for loans to diploma students admitted in priority programmes.
The programmes include; Health and Allied Sciences, Education, Transport & Logistics, Energy Engineering, Mining & Earth Science, and Agriculture and Livestock.
